This blog doesn't include any JavaScript?

I really wanted to make something light and quick, easy to read. My focus was to have my website be thoughtful about other people's data usage, especially those on mobile. I wanted to have a really low footprint so that anyone, on any device can read this, even with JavaScript off!

Most people tend to forget how powerful our platform is without JavaScript and want to shoehorn "features" everywhere. I wanted this to be simple, and small.

The syntax highlighting is generated by piggybacking off of VSCode's syntax highlighter. I chose this because alternatives such as highlight.js and prism.js didn't handle TypeScript all that well. If you're looking for such a package shiki is amazing for this.

I like the language and the ecosystem, in spite of all its warts. However, for the past 5 years I've only used TypeScript.

I have experience with both React and Angular, but I'd like to further explore Svelte or Solid as they seem to be closer to a simpler, smaller bundle sized web.

Whoa, you're cool!
